The green sofa was the “got to have it” trend of 2017. Take a look at any designer blogs and you will see this glorious glam jewel-toned sofa. The color has flourished alongside the Bohemian design explosion, thanks to designers like Justina Blakeney, a.k.a. Jungalow style. It also echoes our current plant obsession, a craving for natural elements. Typically I prefer a subtle cream or leather sofa - bringing in colorful pillows for accents. Emerald green is a very deliberate, bold decor choice for furniture. That doesn't mean, however, that it's hard to coordinate. Emerald green pairs just as beautifully with simple neutrals (it looks particularly luscious with black, white and gold) as it does cheery yellows and pretty pinks.
